Alice In Wonderland Rings

How cool are these Alice In Wonderland inspired rings? I would probably poke my eye out if I ever tried to wear one, but they sure are awesome to look at.

Margot Layne Jewelry

So my friend, who I lived with during college (and who is awesome), has a girlfriend (who is also awesome) who has a friend who apparently just started her own Etsy jewelry store: Margot Layne Jewelry.

I checked it out and it is pretty fantastic.

I particularly love this Asian Inspired Pendant Necklace:

There are lots of other beautiful pieces to choose from.

You can check them all out here.

Beth Millner Jewelry

Beth Millner’s jewelry is pretty far out of my price range, but her pieces are so beautiful that I may have to save up a bit of money so I can splurge on them at some point.

Yuki Jewelry

I love the necklaces in the Yuki Jewelry shop. I really like to pair long necklaces with loose, flowing v-neck dresses and tops.

Beautiful, no?

Gift Guide {For Your Other Loves}

I’m not all that big on Valentine’s Day. It’s not because of bitterness or contempt, but simply because I’ve been with my husband since I was 16 years old and I like to think that every day is a day to celebrate how much we love each other and reflect on how our friendship and intimacy have made our lives richer and more rewarding. That and in February, I’m still feeling the hit of the holiday season and don’t really have a lot of extra cash on hand to do anything big on the 14th. We usually just wait until the holiday passes and then buy up a bunch of heavily discounted candy. Plus, I’m still holding out for the creation of Love Day. (That one’s for you, Daniel.)

But in years past, when I’ve had a bit of spending money and was a little more on top of things, I’ve sent gifts to friends or to my sister. I like to use Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to tell people in my life who are not my husband how much they mean to me and how much I love them. So this is a gift guide for those people you love who are not your lover.

I can just picture my sister rockin’ these shades with a little mini dress and some kick ass heels. She would look incredible.

Hello Lucky has a whole of host of adorable Valentine’s cards, but I think this Pirate Monkey would be great for a best friend that lives much too far away.

My mom would technically need 3 pearls to represent her kiddos, but all the same, this Mama Bird Nest Necklace from Stuck In The Coop is a lovely way to say “love you Mom!” [via here]

How about some nice XOXO pencils by Simple Song Designs for a friend who loves to doodle?

I can’t think of a single friend I have who wouldn’t love a batch of Valentine’s Day cupcakes shipped directly to their door from The Cupcake Mint. [via here]

Help Me Pick The Perfect Accessories

Last week was a crazy week that involved a lot of house organization and long weekend trip back to Michigan to attend a wedding. Also, on Monday, my husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. We marked the occasion with a 9.5 hour car ride from Michigan back home to Baltimore. It was more tiring than romantic, but at least we were together!

Now that I’m back and nearly done with my move, I’m really going to do my best to settle into a more regular blogging schedule. May has been a hectic month and I’m really hoping June ends up being more laid back. Fingers crossed.

Moving on…

At the beginning of July, I will be attending the second of the two weddings I was invited to this year. I have my outfit all picked out and ready to go (as I originally thought I’d be wearing it to the wedding this past Sunday) but have had some difficulty finding jewelry to match.

I am going to wear a dress that is the same basic shape and cut as the black dress pictured below, but with a pattern that closely resembles that of the blouse. My shoes are the lovely green ones pictured and I have been searching for the perfect jewelry to compliment the shoes.

Picture 10

The dress is from New York and Company and the shoes are Nine West.

Here are some of the pieces I’ve found on Etsy that I think could work nicely, but I just can’t seem to make up my mind about any of them. They’re all so beautiful. Feel free to give me your thoughts in the comments; I could really use some help. Thanks!
